Feet reflexology: achieve good health through your feet

Feet reflexology follows the theory that all bodily organs are connected to specific points of the feet. Therefore, massaging specific parts of your feet can help your entire body. An ancient and scientifically effective technique, foot reflexology is a good source of well-being and relaxation.

Feet reflexology: simple yet beneficial

What is great about feet reflexology is not only that it is a natural, alternative medicine, but also that it is something that you can do yourself. Therefore, it is quite simple to do this massage at home. It helps to relieve stress as well as soothing any aches or pains in your body. It is best to do a fifteen minute massage in the morning before breakfast, or in the evening before dinner. This will balance your metabolism and put you in a good mood. So that foot reflexology can be truly effective, it is advisable to memorise the specific massage points.

Feet reflexology: a feeling of well-being

Before starting your feet reflexology, find a quiet room and wear warm, comfortable clothing. Sit cross-legged on the floor or in a chair, with your feet firmly on the ground, and start by rubbing your hands together to promote energy flow. Then, apply firm, but not painful, pressure with your thumb to the selected points while the other hand holds your foot. Massage each point for between 30 and 50 seconds. Your foot reflexology should be done gently, otherwise you might feel some pain. Remember to lie down for a few moments after finishing your massages.
